STRATEGIC GOALS
Education Services Australia will focus on the following key strategic goals in 2011-2012:

  1. Build communication and collaboration between key stakeholders and with networks to create efficiencies, share good practice and achieve national goals.
  2. Provide high quality, cost effective services and products to the schools sector, and where appropriate, to the VET and Higher Education sectors.
  3. Build a capable, agile and financially sustainable organisation.

GOAL 1
Build communication and collaboration between key stakeholders and with networks to create efficiencies, share good practice and achieve national goals.

Strategies
To achieve this goal Education Services Australia will:

  • Collaborate nationally across all sectors to create inclusive relationships with and between stakeholders.
  • Commit to finding creative and practical solutions for clients.
  • Develop working relationships with external agencies.
  • Conduct thorough consultation to achieve national consensus on key issues.

GOAL 2
Provide high quality, cost effective services and products to the schools sector, and where appropriate, the VET and higher education sectors.

Strategies
To achieve this goal Education Services Australia will:

  • Leverage existing investment in resources, tools and infrastructure that are either owned nationally or by jurisdictions, where possible.
  • Facilitate the national pooling, sharing and distribution of knowledge, resources and services to support and promote e-learning.
  • Develop effective and innovative ICT systems for education and training.
  • Provide key national education services consistent with the requirements of ACARA, AITSL, states and territories and other key stakeholders.
  • Support national partnership initiatives.
  • Flexibly respond to demands of stakeholders in relation to the national education agenda.

GOAL 3
Build a capable, agile and financially sustainable organisation.

Strategies
To achieve this goal Education Services Australia will:

  • Build a customer-focussed culture attuned to policy requirements based on networking, team work and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal communication and internal systems to support project reporting, resourcing, methodologies and cost controls.
  • Maintain an appropriately skilled staff profile to deliver on stakeholders’  expectations.
  • Work to realise further cost efficiencies from the merger and move towards financial sustainability by 2012.

The Strategic Plan is informed by consultation with key stakeholders in the schools, VET and Higher Education sectors, and by the Company Objects and Letter of Expectation agreed by MCEECDYA. It reflects current national policies and strategic directions.
