Education Services Australia is managing the procurement and alignment of digital resources that will support the implementation of the Australian Curriculum.
Priority areas for procurement are:
- high quality student resources for Foundation to year 10 for history, English, mathematics, science, geography, the Arts and Mandarin Chinese and Italian languages. Included are resources that support the general capabilities [1] and the cross-curriculum priorities [2]: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures; Asia and Australia's engagement with Asia; and Sustainability
- high quality digital teacher support materials to assist teachers to implement the Australian Curriculum, the cross-curriculum priorities and the general capabilities.
The procurement of student resources and teacher support material to support the implementation of the Australian Curriculum is part of the Supporting the Australian Curriculum Online [3] initiative announced by the Australian Government on 23 September 2011.
Respondents may include jurisdictions, education bodies, teacher professional and subject associations, government agencies, cultural and collection sectors, government agencies, scientific organisations, international resource repository owners, publishers and developers.
