Global Education
The Global Education website provides teacher resources supporting the integration of a global perspective across the curriculum and the teaching of global education. It supports the AusAID Global Education Program objective to increase the amount and quality of teaching of global education in Australian primary and secondary schools. Education Services Australia (ESA) developed and maintains the site for the Australian Government.
ESA also managed the development of key resources:
-
Global perspectives – a framework for global education in Australian schools
provides a practical and philosophical guide to the aims and themes of global
education as it has developed in Australia. -
Thinking globally – global perspectives in the early years provides teachers
with activities and digital resources to help young children become active
global citizens. -
Developing global citizens promotes the inclusion of a global perspective
in curriculum for teachers and students in years 3–10. -
Globalise me! – a student's guide to globalisation provides a range of texts
resources to explore globalisation. -
Pacific neighbours – understanding the Pacific islands promotes an
understanding of the Pacific region for students in years 7–10.
