After eight years of outstanding service, our CEO, Andrew Smith, will step down from ESA on 30 May 2025, to take on a new role as CEO of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA).
Andrew Smith will step down as Education Services Australia’s (ESA’s) CEO on 30 May after eight years of outstanding service. We are delighted to share that he will continue to make an important contribution to education as CEO of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), beginning in June.
Stuart Mitchell, our current Chief Technology Officer, will serve as Acting CEO while the Board commences the search for our next CEO.
Under Andrew’s leadership, ESA’s impact has grown significantly, delivering education solutions that have enriched the lives and learning of Australian students.
The Board, Executive and staff wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for Andrew’s accomplished stewardship.
