Career planning for students on the autism spectrum

School leavers on the autism spectrum are four times as likely as non-autistic school leavers to be unemployed or under-employed. Career advisors can support students on the autism spectrum with the employability principles.

Educators can help build self-determination among students on the autism spectrum as they prepare for what they will do after school, by applying five interrelated and evidence-based employability principles.
