Diversity & Inclusion Inclusive Education Reconciliation in Education School Libraries & Resources
As part of its commitment to reconciliation, the Schools Catalogue Information Service is helping schools deepen their classification of Indigenous resources.

These classifications are intended to reflect the complexity and rich history of Australia and New Zealand's First Peoples by diversifying search terms to include specific names of groups or communities, as well as cultural practices.

For example, the new 298 Dewey permanently unassigned number brings to the fore resources on Aboriginal Australian religion, spirituality and the creation of stories. Read about the new changes.
